Nothing is better than an olive oil tasting to discover the Tuscan traditions. This tasting, for people of Tuscany, is like a little ritual expressing the specific characteristics of the territory. Follow our experts in a workshop and tasting class, you will also learn the strict rules, starting with the taste with a blue glass (often accompanied by an apple clove, to "clean" and get a fresh sensation in the mouth).
Our olive oil sommelier Andrea Perini, chef and judge of the "Il Magnifico" award, will teach you how to distinguish the differences between an excellent extra virgin olive oil and a lower quality one, you will unveil the aromas and also the possible combinations based on the olive cultivars. We will start with visual perception, noticing cleanness, roundness, body, color, presence and persistence of the aroma.
In our Evoo restaurant you will get the chance to savor more than 80 different labels, many of them are mono-varieties, getting involved into a real journey in Italy, from the light fragrance of the green tomato of the Nocellara (Sicilian) to the fruity royalty of the Moraiolo, the most famous Tuscan olive oil.
